Rachel’s work supports schools to strengthen literacy teaching, with particular interests in reading comprehension, inference, representation and reading for pleasure.

Rachel is an educational trainer, literacy consultant and author of the Reading Detectives series. Director of Primary English Education Consultancy, she has held roles including SENCO, English subject leader, deputy headteacher and local authority English consultant.
